Please check with each organisation for more information about the services they offer and how to access them. Some require GP referrall. We have indicated this where we can.

Bump and Beyond

Bluebell Care - offering a range of mental health &

emotional wellbeing support for parents & infants,

during pregnancy and up to 2 years after birth

 

Dads in Mind - For dads experiencing anxiety & depression or supporting a partner during pregnancy or after birth.

Mums Make a Move - A platform for all women to come together and support each other, a talking space to share stories and support as well as other mindful tips from Make a Move.

Children and Teens

Bath Area Play Project (BAPP) - offers a variety of play provision and activities for children and young people aged 5 to 19 years in the Bath area. 

Mentoring Plus - supports young people facing challenges by connecting them with their community through award-winning mentoring schemes, youth clubs, projects and inspiring activities programmes.

Bright Start Children's Centers - council run children's centers provide opportunities for parents & carers with children aged 0-5 years to come together to share the challenges and joys of parenthood.

 

Young Carers Bath & NE Somerset - free activities, support and groups for young people looking after someone (young carers).

Mental Health Support

Off the Record- a mental health and well-being support service for young people

We Get It - provides support and information for people in Bath who are dealing with cancer. 

Make a Move - a charity that helps people make positive changes in their lives and improve their mental health using movement, music, mindfulness.

Domestic Abuse Resources

Reporting Domestic Violence - If you or your children are in immediate danger, always call 999 and ask for the Police. If you are not in immediate danger, then please contact any of the following as they are waiting to help you:

 

Avon and Somerset Police -  Telephone 101 (24 hours)

 

Southside - sypports families to make positive changes in their lives whether you are grappling with domestic abuse, substance abuse, mental health difficulties; or problems with finance and debt, housing issues or concerns related to education and employment.

Voices - provide peer support and recovery programmes specifically for women who are experiencing or have experienced Domestic Abuse.

Practical Support

Nest Project - provide good quality, new and second-hand, baby clothes and equipment (up to 5 years), completely free of charge, to anyone who needs it.

The Life Project - a group of Christian families with members who have learning difficulties.

The Clothes Line - provides high quality clothing, shoes and school uniforms without charge for children aged 5 to 15 in families on a low income. 

The Life Pilot - Helping adults progress to higher level study

Future Bright - a council run scheme that offers flexible options to improve your job prospects and increase your income

Food Banks - providing three days’ nutritionally balanced emergency food and support to local people who are referred to us in crisis. Supported by The Trussell Trust Find food banks near you here >>

Make Lunch Bath - provide free, hot, healthy lunches to children and their families during the school holidays in a fun filled environment.
